Key Force of the Mobile Entertainment Ecosystem

Game Engine and Development Tool Kit

Worldwide, more than 400,000 developers worldwide, including developers of 7 out of the 10 top grossing games in China, rely on Cocos2D-x to build their mobile games. Chukong Technologies, the creator and maintainer of this widely adopted open source game engine, has committed to updating the platform’s core features and adding new functionality.

One such addition is Chukong’s comprehensive developer toolset CocoStudio, which will make it easy for teams to design, build, and animate games – all for free. The toolset will include every component necessary for studios of all sizes to streamline their development process and shorten the time from idea to execution.

International Game Publishing

Under their CocoaChina brand, Chukong Technologies partners with international developers who want to access the lucrative but complicated Chinese mobile gaming market. CocoaChina offers a full suite of services to help developers go East, from offering feedback on game design to maximize montetization in China’s very different gaming market and handling local app store distribution to combating fraud and piracy and assisting with translation and localization.

Chukong has worked with more than 20 international studios to help bring their games to Chinese audiences, including mobile gaming giants like Nexon, GameLoft, Disney, Gumi, and Konami.

In addition, Chukong is helping elite Chinese developers to explore opportunities overseas and has published top grossing and top downloaded games in Taiwan, Korea, United States and many other markets.

Launched in 2008, CocoaChina.com created the community and mobile gaming expertise that led to Chukong Technologies’ founding and its huge influence in the mobile gaming industry in China.

Chukong Technologies continues to maintain and expand CocoaChina.com’s influence, including organizing the biannual CocoaChina Developers’ Conference with average turnout exceeding 1500 people. and believes that forums for developers to share ideas, make suggestions, and celebrate successes will continue to drive the industry forward.
